Premiere at NSpine in Strasbourg

This year the time had finally come - for the first time we took part in the top-class NSpine workshop in Strasbourg! Our focus was on accessing the ALIF with BIG ST (cage for anterior/oblique/lateral lumbar interbody fusion with and without screws) and we are extremely happy about this great experience.

The course gave participants the opportunity to practice on live tissue - anesthetized pigs, which are anatomically most similar to humans. This is particularly effective when demonstrating access points. There was also the opportunity to train on human specimens.

PD Dr. Bludau, our tutor, led the participants through a fascinating journey where he impressively shared his extensive knowledge on access techniques and complication management. The training was intensive and offered each participant the opportunity to familiarize themselves not only theoretically but also practically with the access routes. The group was deliberately kept small so that only two participants were supervised by Dr. Bludau at the same time. This allowed everyone to delve very deeply into the subject matter and develop their skills in a targeted manner. After this intensive exchange, they should be well equipped to apply the techniques they have learned independently in the future!

To sum up, we can say that our participation in NSpine 2025 was a complete success! Many thanks to everyone who made this unforgettable event possible!
