European Hospital Tour Brings Innovation and Practice Together

As part of the SIGNUS SPINE CAMPUS initiative, the “SPINE SURGERY LIVE” hospital tour successfully took place last week across leading clinics in Germany and Austria. The program aimed to closely connect international spine surgeons with state-of-the-art surgical techniques and real-world clinical practice.

Participants gained comprehensive insights into complex deformity and degenerative procedures using the DIPLOMAT® screw-rod system, as well as cervical disc replacement procedures with the disc prosthesis ROTAIO®. In addition to live surgeries, the focus was placed on in-depth case discussions and direct exchange in the operating room environment, enabling a highly interactive learning experience.

Special thanks go to Prof. Dr. Florian Geiger and his dedicated team at the Hessing Clinic in Augsburg, who hosted the opening sessions with outstanding hands-on training. The journey continued with Prof. Dr. Claudius Thomé and his exceptional team at the University Clinic for Neurosurgery in Innsbruck, who further enriched the program with surgical excellence and academic expertise.

Complemented by a well-curated social program, the tour also provided valuable opportunities for networking and professional exchange. Once again, the SIGNUS SPINE CAMPUS demonstrated its core mission: sharing knowledge, advancing surgical skills, and shaping the future of spine surgery together.
